Stefano Giovannoni wanted to dare creating, in 1993 for Alessi, ASG04 MERDOLINO: the brush for the bathroom, which during the years has been criticized a lot, but it has been equally successful. The goal of the designer was to turn into an enjoyable and funny object also the most unthinkable bathroom’s accessory. MERDOLINO has the form of a vase containing the elongated stem of a plant, which has been created by using a particular material that acquires plasticity under the action of heat: thermoplastic resin.
